Imagine being surrounded by over 17,000 insects! 7000 butterflies and parides.jpg (28537 bytes) moths from Honduras adorn two walls in this 1000 square foot museum in La Ceiba, Honduras. 4500 spectacular butterflies, moths and other insects from more than 139 countries will leave you breathless as you admire the incredible colors and intricate designs.

Another wall is covered with over 4700 other insects such as bright green scarab beetles, giant water bugs. large hercules beetles, dinosaur-looking grasshoppers, black tarantula wasps, female wings open.JPG (13765 bytes) spectacular blue-tipped damselflies, flying cockroaches, skinny walking sticks, leaf-like praying mantids, weird peanut-head bugs, and much, much more.
